Thanks for nothing.... I went muskie fishing today and didn't catch any muskies... Sure would have helped if someone on here could have given me some advice or something... I never would have went if I knew the fishing was going to suck.... I drove four hours and all I caught was a bunch of gay bass which you can catch anywhere here in MO. Seems like all any one cares about is the lame crappies and gay bass.

Hey Bill, It's called Fishing! Get used to it. I suppose you are one of the people with the high dollar internet phones, the car gps's that give voice directions, and think a weekend of camping is taking the $150,000 camper with the satellite tv down to the lake. There used to be a time when people didn't rely on internet forums to get up to date information on fishing. They just went out and tested their "true" skill with a rod and reel. It's not the fault of the members of this forum if you just plain suck at fishing... I do suppose next time you decide to make a 4 hour drive down here I could come out in your boat with you and hold your hand while you fish?

ps...no disrespect to people on this forum who do rely on it for some good information. I am too one of those people. I do not however totally rely and count on everything that is said here. As we all know, if you use the info and patterns from yesterday your a day late and a dollar short. Not too mention I know most of the good people that are members of OA do not go around blaming everyone else for bad days on the water. It's just fishin.

Hey Bill Y,

If you had looked, Both Trav and I wrote reports. Maybe if you had taken a moment to read you would have known that the muskies were in deep water.

It has been my understanding that Muskies in the lake are there, but catching them is few and far between,.. like the others said,.. usually while targeting the homo genus of the bass family. Is it considered a "hate crime" to talk about these fish this away,.. Maybe the Corp should intigate a "don't catch, don't tell" policy! LOL

Are you kidding me?!! I have three little girls under the age of seven that don't whine this bad! My family lives up north near Lake Of The Woods, in prime muskie country where they have fished their entire life for that one trophy muskie. If you have ever really fished for muskie, you would know that you will find yourself casting until your arm falls off and still have a very slim chance of one looking at your lure. Sucks you had to drive 4 hours to "catch a BUNCH of gay bass". I almost started tearing up...... give me a moment.....How did you make it, what a horrifying experience. Most people would love to have that opportunity! I went over 2000 miles to south Mexico and all I caught was one gay fish (how could I tell? It smiled at me when I threw it back into the water). I forgot to look for a forum where I could blame everyone for that. Most people that catch muskies in this area are not fishing for them. Maybe you should start fishing for gay bass or prissy perch, and you too might catch a muskie. In the future, if you want to whine and blame others for your failure, write to Oprah or Dr. Phil, not OA.

If you teach your kids to fish, your wife will let you go more often.....

Don't they call muskie the fish of a thousand casts? I'd say if someone really knew how to catch them they would have shared their information. All I know to do is troll spoons, that's what I did as a kid in Michigan and caught one once, then I was scared of his teeth so went back to fishing for heterosexual bass. (those were less tolerant times!)

Yeah, I spent a couple of days fishing for them in Michigan once. Never got a bite, and eventually starting going after smallmouth bass instead. Despite being gay, they were actually a lot of fun to catch.
