timsfly
Caught a bunch of bass today and some really good sunfish, caught an 11" sunfish on my new rod and reel, good way to break em both in. I caught em on poppers, woolybuggers, whistles and some on small spoons, nice day to be on the water, that is for sure. Can't wait till tomorrow, more fishing, then back to work Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
Buzz
Man those sunfish are huge!!!!! I bet you had a blast. Are those bass a little skinny or is it just the way the pics were taken? Maybe they have already spawned? Nice fish, I'm hoping to get in some fishing this weekend. If fishing was easy it would be called catching. timsfly
I think it is just the way I had to hold them, they all appeared to be in good shape. There were some on beds, and some holding just out in the deeper water, I think a lot of them are yet to spawn, the water temp is about 60, the pond is spring fed, but the bass will spawn soon, and then the gills, can't hardly wait. Buzz
Glad to hear that. I was thinking you might have to have a perch fry to help them out a little. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Members Knot Head
Tim that boat looks like it could be a Native' Ultimate. If so, how are you likin' it and where did you purchase it?
timsfly
Yes it is a native watercraft 12' it is fantastic, I've been fishing out of it since last year and it works much better for me than my old canoe and is more stable, I'm really enjoying the kayak this year. Fishing has been really good and that makes the kayak just that much more fun, it is easy to carry on my car and will go in about 4 or 5" of water. I bought it at Dynamic Earth in springfield, they are right over by Cox hospital on Republic road, here is their website www.dynamicearth.net Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
