Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 22, 2010 Root Admin Posted April 22, 2010 I took out from K Dock and only hit main lake areas - hind sight I should have fished coves. Only caught bass- and alot of them. Nice smallie but the rest were 8-12 inches. Fun stuff. Found some crappie real late back in the cove at K Dock's ramp. They were close to the bank but out away about 10 feet. Caught them on white jigs. 5 keepers and one short. Returned them to the lake for someone else to to grow up. Found them too late to catch a mess and didn't want to clean fish last night. Great evening to be out though.
Forsythian Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Phil, was the low road open? Thanks. 657ft and falling. Cenosillicaphobiac

Sam Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I've got a good friend coming from South Carolina, and we're towing my boat down to Lake Greeson in SW Arkansas next week. We're fishing on our own Monday and Wednesday, and Tuesday we've got a full day trip scheduled with Jerry Blake, a guide we've known for years through posts on crappie.com. It looks like it's going pretty well down there: http://www.crappie.com/crappie/main-crappie-fishing-forum/132394-catching-few-lake-greeson-ar.html When we get back, my buddy wants to try at least one of my fishing holes around here. I'm hoping the crappie around K Dock will really be going good then so I can show him what a Missouri crappie looks like, too.
