H O W E V E R !!! . . . . (check out the photos) . . . another cat on the jerkbait . . . this time about 3 1/2 pounds . . . . remember last week I caught an 8 pound cat on the same jerkbait . . . . . this time I also caught a carp (got off at the surface next to the boat as I was getting ready to take a photo) . . . . I do not fish for catfish, so I not sure exactly what kind it is . . . . I'm guessing a flathead . . . it is definitely the same as last week's 8 pounder . . . . . . I never dreamed a jerkbait was to versatile

straw hat Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Nice cats. The shad are up along the bank spawning this time of year and the cats often move in to feed on these shad. Because of this you often hear of people catching them on crankbaits this time of year. This is the beginning of their prespawn now so they are beginning to put on the feed bag.
