Was fishing at Stockton today and seen a snake that was every bit of 5 feet long. I first seen the head and thought it was a turtle. Then seen it swimming. The snake was dark brown with some brown rings around it down by the tail. Anyone know what kind of snake this might have been?

Probably a Cornback Rattler

Was thinking maybe a Rattle Headed Copper Moccasin. But after further research, I believe it to be an Eastern Coachwhip Snake.

Sounds like a Transplant. Darn things must have followed me up from Louisiana.
