Fly_Guy Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 I've noticed in the bennett forum that people have been commenting (or perhaps griping ) about a lack of fish in the river. Is RR going through the same sort of thing, or are there still plenty in there? A group of us is comin down this June for the annual massacre. Course, it would be nice for the trout following my crickhopper to not run into another fish before he can bite it.
duckydoty Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 I just fished there on Tuesday and there were plenty of fish. Started fishing about 10 a.m. and fished till 4. Put over 30 to hand. Stripped white mink sculpins on a sinking leader and just killed them. When that slowed down I switched over to a 16 bead head pheasant tail nymph and continued catching lots of fish. Most of the pools looked like they were holding several fish. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
