Members The Huntin Grounds Guy Posted May 7, 2010 Members Posted May 7, 2010 I make videos to teach people how to cost effectively manage their property. It is geared towards those who have smaller pieces of land because I feel that TV shows do educate you on how to manage land but they show you how to manage hundreds or thousands of acres and they have money to do so. My videos are for those who have 5, 20, 30, or 50+ acres and who don’t have a lot of money to spend but would like to improve their property for wildlife. I do it because I am passionate about it. I do it all myself and don't get any money for it. I eventually would like someone to notice that I can do this and do this for a full time job or be hired out to help individuals with their land. I love for people to view them and give me feed back. So please check them out. I currently have six posted..... they seem to get better each week. http://www.youtube.com/user/thehuntingroundsguy Thanks, Steven Fuller
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 7, 2010 Root Admin Posted May 7, 2010 Steven.... I had no idea! Are you coming up for your little sister's graduation Sunday?
Gilly Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Cool! I'll look at the videos when I get home from work tonight. We're doing that in Iowa (Mondamin). We have 30 acres that we're slowly returning to grasses. The weeds have been a problem but I think after this year we might have the upper hand on that situation. The pheasants have been making their presence known the last couple of months so I'm thinking we're on the right track. www.drydock516.com

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 7, 2010 Root Admin Posted May 7, 2010 I guess you know Grant Woods. He's big in land management.
Members The Huntin Grounds Guy Posted May 7, 2010 Author Members Posted May 7, 2010 I guess you know Grant Woods. He's big in land management. Yeah, Grant is a good friend of mine. I had been recording stuff and then I saw some of his videos. I like the idea. But I really wanted to show how to do management, not just show what we have done; I wanted to show the process. Grant also has 1500 acres, and like a lot of TV shows they usually have tons of land and money or sponsors for the resources they need. I feel like they are missing the majority of people. Most land owners own small tracks of land and they need to be shown how to manage them, and to be honest most people are like me, they don’t have a lot of money to put into it but they will work hard. So I wanted to make videos that really hit home for those people.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 7, 2010 Root Admin Posted May 7, 2010 Great idea. I'll pass around your links. Do you have a site for your business yet?

I've looked into getting a .com and "thehuntingrounds.com" is available but I dont know how to do the whole building a web page and if it would be too hard. Thanks for passing around the link, it will help me a lot.
