Members flydude Posted June 5, 2006 Members Posted June 5, 2006 I still have a 6'6" 4wt. 3pc St. Croix Avid to sell.I finally broke down and fished it Saturday and it confirms that shorter rods aren't for me.This would be an excellent small stream/bluegill pond rod and the action is great for dries.Again this rod has been fished once and like new. There is no warranty but a good flyfisher shouldn't need it.Now watch me fall down and break my other rod.Anyway the rod retailed for $190.00 new(Pre-IPC).$95.00 shipped. I also have the reel for this rod. It's an Orvis Battenkil Barstock II in Black spooled with Orvis WF4F line and backing. All new stuff fished once. The reel cost $99.00, the line $40.00 and the backing( I can't remember).$95.00 shipped. This is good stuff folks. If you'll buy it all I'll come down on the price a little. Thanks and God Bless!
timsfly Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 I don't know where you are located but if you get down my way (roaring river) stop by the shop and if you want to we might do some trading on that rod, I sell that one in my shop and it sells very well in my area, just a thought if you get down this way. Maybe we can trade you up to a longer rod. I sell winston, scott, cortland, orvis, fenwick, and st. croix fly rods, but if you want I would probably just by the rod if you are asking only 95.00, that would be a good price for me if the rod is nearly new. Come by and holler sometime, if you are in my area. Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
