TroutRinger Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Water was off today and somewhere around 701'. Fish were feeding all over the place. Got in the water a little before 10 and fished on the far side between Outlets 1 and 2. Caught two 18-20 inchers in the first 30 minutes off a gray scud. I don't know how much the big one weighed but it was fat and football shaped. Definitely one of the biggest trout I've caught in my in-illustrious fly fishing career.I caught a few smaller ones over the next hour or so before taking a break for lunch. After lunch I picked up the spinning rod and caught around 6 rainbows between 12 and 16" on a white jig and a little rainbow trout jerkbait before leaving at about 3:30. Not a bad day (for me).
