Has anyone had any success crappie fishing on Springfield Lake? I took my bantam boat out a couple weeks ago and couldn't get a bite. I fished along the south bank of the lake by the railroad tracks then went over to the north bank just off the dam.

I dont know if there are too many crappie left in Springfield Lake...They may still be there. Do you know where Fellows Lake is. I have been fishing there for the last two weeks catching HUGE BLUE GILL AND CATFISH on worms and crickets.

There have been several people still catching crappie in 10 feet of water. Also, when I see shad on my radar, there are usually fish feeding on them. I see this on the radar. I back off a little cast over them with rooster tails, roadrunner, maribou jigs or spoons and pull a white bass or even a crappie every now and then.

I don't usually fish for crappie, But I was near the tracks fishing for bass and hung a 12 inch crappie on a 5/8 oz spinner bait. Not the typical tackle for crappie. I took a picture with my phone and back in the drink she went.

I've never been to Fellows Lake before,if it's got plenty of catfish I may have to check it out sometime.
