zarraspook Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 As you'll know the weather did not cooperate !!!!!!!!!! The only daylight hours that were NOT "White Caps" everywhere was for about 2 hours Tues evening and 3 hours Weds morning... I gave up this morning after the storm destroyed one of the docks, less than a 100 yards from the camper, at Lost Bridge Marina and we lost a tree about 30yards behind the camper; plus serveral large limbs down in the camping area.... My son hook up with one , about 8-10 pounds, but we didn't get it in the boat for a "for sure" weight, Tues evening.... I chased three different small schools Weds morning that would break a 80 yards to my left, as I would turn and get about there another school would break a 100 yards behind me, etc,etc for about 30 minutes and they were all gone when the sun hit the water... To answer the question about my boat – It is a 1999 Ranger "walleye" boat.. In prior years they were called the "Fisherman" boats..... As far as a "Mud Line" the only mud lines I seen were (of course) on the windy banks and they only came out 3 - 6 foot.....( Not much mud in that end of the lake ) I didn't stick around to take pictures of the down trees but, here is what is left of the outside dock at lost bridge marina.... I may try again in a couple of weeks......... "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"
Quillback Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Yeah Z, the weather has been terrible this week, I like fishing out of Lost Bridge myself and just could not get a day this week where it was worth driving up there and launching. That storm caused some damage here in Bella Vista, big limbs and a few trees came down. Hopefully the weather will be better on your next trip.
