rangerman Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 The coves around point 9 hold some large gar...I used to fish for them there with goldfish on balloons and we got some REAL good ones. Best was 32 pounds. I have bowfished them there as well and my best with bow gear was 55 inches (didn't weigh it). Good luck.
Predator1 Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 I was on UPPER BULL SHOALS SATURDAY. We put in on the road to the left just before the Actual Boat Road at KDOCK. The creek to the left of that area is holding Gar by the Hundreds we seen GAR that were 7 FEET in length. Good luck and Hold on.
smbasser Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 The point just west of kimberling city bridge on the north side has a ton of gar on it at night. They are up shallow spawning on the rock point where the bluff runs out. These fish are easy pickin'
