Members Finley Cranor Posted May 27, 2010 Members Posted May 27, 2010 I just finished a fishing trip on Crooked Creek and we caught alot of fish with red sores on their bodies and on their lips. I have seen this on fish before but not to this level,I would say a 1/4 of them had this problem. Does anyone know what this is or what causes this?
slider Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 When the whitebass are running when we get to catching them with red sores on them the run is about over. This isnt anything scientific just something we have notticed over the years. Slider DONT EVER GIVE UP MOSES WAS A BASKET CASE ONCE!
Gavin Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Red sore disease is common among fish in the sunfish family, particularly in the spring after they spawn. Do a search on Red Sore Disease and youll get all kinds of information. Cheers.
