Has anyone purchased any of these lures and if so, what is your report? I saw them at the Pro today and was intrigued...didn't purchase though. Figured it was meant to catch fisherman instead of fish. I'm a little skeptical so if anyone's had any luck (good or bad), let me know. I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering about it.

just at a glance it seems like it would be hard to hook up a fish with that big diameter of plastic, but I haven't tried it yet so I can't say. I do think it's a great idea though, maybe the Japanese will perfect it.

Yeah, I agree. Getting a solid hookup on a topwater is difficult enough without having to get the hook through the plastic. The only solution would be to use super soft plastic, in which case the lure would only be good for a couple fish.
