Daveinozark Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 has anyone attempted climbing the spillway to fish lately? just wondering if there's any hostility and how the bite is. is that a very shallow lake?
Members atron Posted June 3, 2010 Members Posted June 3, 2010 Speaking of which... how tall is the dam? Is it short enough to lift your kayak up fairly easy and then climb up the side? Thinking about trying it out on Sunday.
OzarksRiverman Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Yeah you can get up the dam. I got a canoe up and over before. Go up on the right side near the bank (looking toward the dam from the bridge). Last time I was up there I caught a bunch of fish just around the first bend going upstream.
RSBreth Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 The Linden Dam, from the 125 bridge, looking East. Google Street View Isn't technology wonderful?
ColdWaterFshr Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Used to do a fair amount of trespassing in this area back in my high school and college days. Some good fishing upstream of where the lake backs up, but it required hopping some barbwire and bush wacking through some thick growth of stinging nettles.
Members atron Posted June 7, 2010 Members Posted June 7, 2010 Well we didn't climb up the dam today, water was moving pretty good. We did float down from linden to turner access though. Beautiful day, caught about 15 smallies, 4-5 were over 12". Also caught a nice largemouth near the bluffs. Theres about 2-3 areas where some fresh trees are down that are no fun, but not too bad. Does anyone know how often the ozark mt. paddlers go through and cut up the logs?

Members atron Posted June 9, 2010 Members Posted June 9, 2010 So according to this it sounds like you can access the lake from the banks as long as you are in the high water zone. Anyone can come and go as they please at Lindenlure Lake—all navigable waters are public and owned by states, according to the Equal Footing Doctrine. People can legally navigate and fish the lake, and roam its shores up to the “ordinary high water mark,” according to the doctrine. Story on Lindenlure's enhanced law enforcement presence
OzarksRiverman Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 So basically it's going to be a permanent check point going in and out of Linden on the weekends?
RSBreth Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 A semi-permanent law enforcment presence down there might calm it down a bit...
