straw hat Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Tough day! A lot of boats, battery problems, white caps and a headache. Did catch some in the standing timber and a few on brush piles. Not many pearls of wisdom from this trip but they can't all be gems. Just thank God I could get out on the lake. I hope you guys left a few for me to catch on the next trip.
kwall Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I went fri night fished till 3am sat morning caught 2 wallys,a few channels,1 nice LMB and a couple gills. It was pretty slow fished 12 to 25 fow, maybe should have fished deeper or shallower? full moon made it easy to see though.

As bad as I did on Saturday my opinion would probably be wrong. Considering that most of the fish we caught or that we saw caught were 10 to 15 ft deep, I would guess being nighttime they should have moved up some. We fished the CC area which has only about 2' visibility. I don't know where you went but if the water was clearer that would affect them also. I am glad to see that you left a few fish in the lake for my next trip!
Donna G Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 No kidding, there were some serious white caps! We were fishing in Little Sac on Saturday and on Sunday we tried to go toward OT to check out a couple of spots we fished last year and decided it wasn't worth. We didn't catch much off wood and were surprised at that, but the lake is up from last year and there is so much in the water. Threw everything in the boat at them on Saturday and scratched out a limit 5 different ways. lol Didn't catch anymore Sunday than Saturday, but got more of a pattern going. Guess they were chomping at night under that full moon and not interested in what we offered during the day.
