First visit to Jacks Fk on Sat and is as beautiful as was told.

Gorgeous water, boulders, runs, bluffs, etc.

Floated Blue Spring to Rymers. Hot day, light traffic (only about 6-8 kayakers), low water flow (low 40's cfs), drug through most riffles but had 2 dads and 2 kids.

Fishing good but fewer big fish than expected. Lots of small fish in 8-10 in range.

Biggest only about 13 inches. Good #'s to keep the kids busy. Still had awesome day and caught probably 30+ smallies each but that was over 12hrs on the river.

Used mainly soft plastics and topwater - torpedo / zara puppy. tried others but not as productive.

Talked to one local who agreed that they were more finicky on Sat (??b/c fed all nite with full moon on Fri pm??) and that he's had to start resorting to live bait in the deeper pools around boulders.

We never did break down and throw minnows/craws but wish we had after talking to him.

Will definitely be back and would like to check out Rymers to Bay.
