gotmuddy Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I am wanting to start fishing the eleven point. I want to fish for smallies. I have crossed it quite a few times but never fished it. Can I take a non jet powered boat down it? I have a 18x36 Jon boat with a 9.9 that I use on the Buffalo and white rivers. Can I camp anywhere along the river or just specific spots? What are the bag limits for things like goggleye and catfish? Who does shuttles on the lower end of the river and what are the costs? everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Brian Sloss Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 The Eleven Point is a prop eater, so be careful. From Cane Bluff to Riverton, you can camp just about anywhere. down stream from Riverton to 142 there is a lot more private land, but there are a couple of gravel bars and Morgan Spring (narrows) float camp, though it is very close to the 142 bridge. We do vehicle shuttles upstream of Riverton for $35 and downstream to Myrtle for $45. Goggle eye are 15 at 8 inches. Not much in the way of catfish. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
gotmuddy Posted July 4, 2010 Author Posted July 4, 2010 thursday I was out on the white thursday with no generators running, it was definetly rough on the prop. Is it possible to fish on the weekends or are there too many party people? everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Brian Sloss Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 You can fish weekends, though weekdays are better. Trout are fishing better than anything else now. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
