Anyone know where to find info on this park as far a stocking of fish. I have caught a few bass there but all under the 18" min. Anyone caught any keepers from there?

If the regs there are C&R only under 18 inches, that's probably why you haven't caught any over 18 inches.

O well, still fun to catch them I guess. What is weird is it's not C&R for catfish and people are pulling out ones that would maybe turn into a fish stick if filleted.

And the cats have the opposite problem...overharvest. Whoever is in charge of the regs for that lake needs to do some research. Here are the regs for a private lake a fellow forum member lives near:

SPECIES SEASON DAILY LIMIT SIZE

Crappie all year 15 10" minimum

Channel Cat all year 10 15"minimum

Bass all year 2 over 15"

Bass closed 0 12" to 15"

Bass all year no limit under 12"

Redear all year 10 no limit

Bluegill all year no limit no limit

Bullfrogs closed

Green Sunfish all year keep all, do not return to lake

I'd say those are about perfect for almost any pond or small lake as an all-around fishery. I'd change the bass slot to 12-18, but that's about it.

Think I need to do some research and find out who oversees that lake and see if there is a possibility of change.
