10pointer Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Just got word from my cousin that his buddy just broke the world record today with a blue cat that weighed in at 130lbs. The previous world record was 124lb and this fish crushed that record! Ill have pics later as ill be going with my cousin later to see the fish, and I did call MDC just to make sure my leg wasnt getting pulled! I couldnt imagine catching a fish like that let alone on a rod and reel!!!!
stlfisher Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 I was just about to post the same thing. Article below. http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/metro/article_c97f11fc-9433-11df-8b39-0017a4a78c22.html
Trout Commander Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Congrats to him. Any word as to where it came out of? Edit: Opened page before, but did not read and post till after link was posted. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack
Bill B. Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Fox News said they were fishing in Columbia Bottom on the Missouri River. That's the MDC area right where the Missouri dumps into the Mississippi. Check out the video at Fox News in St Louis. Type catfish in the search bar: http://www.fox2now.com/ (For some reason, the commas in the link to the actual story are messing it up when I try to post it.)
ollie Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 That's one big cattie!! "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
