Members Rackersc Posted July 22, 2010 Members Posted July 22, 2010 The wife and I are heading down Saturday am and staying Saturday night. Any ideas for an inexpensive place I can get a one night reservation? We don't need much, but I don't want to break the bank either.

I stay there once in a while and it is a pretty decent place at a pretty much normal rate. Tell them to be sure to give you a triple A rate which usually knocks off 5-10 bucks. It is about a 20 minute run in the morning to the stream.
rcguy Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Super 8 is nice. More expensive than Sand Springs but nicer. For a small room at Sand Springs is 44.00 for a single. I have been doing that one a lot. Has 1 double bed, TV, Fridge and coffee pot (take your own coffee to perk). 2 people is 52.00 or something. Rooms 111, 112, 114 are clean. Others might be just as nice. I usually try to get one of those. Internet is SLOW. Super 8 is more but nicer and you get continental breakfast and fast internet. I think I paid 80 bucks for 2 people. Vogels is old and not very nice in my opinion. Larrys is suppose to be very nice.
oneshot Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 When my wife worked down there Larry's was the Cleanest and most reasonable.Just hope they have a room open. oneshot
dave potts Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Anybody know what the prices run on Larry's. I've never stayed there but you can't beat the location. By the way, that place next door that used to be Hillbilly's Burgers is now under new people and their BBQ is very good. Dave
flyfishmaster Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Last week I stayed at the hotel in Lenbanon at the very western part of town (I have no clue the name of the place) that has a sign $39.99 for all rooms. If you just need a place to crash this is great and cheap. Over all I would give them 1 out of 5 stars. They do have a continental breakfast of coffee, toast and ceral. Later, FFM Woo Hoo Fish On!!
rcguy Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 1 out of 5 stars? hummmm... Were the sheets still warm?

They have a dish called the "Piggy Pie" that is unusual. Layered from the bottom...Fritos, BBQ beans, Slaw, Pulled pork, Fritos again. I thought it was good but I like Fritos.
