woodman Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 This was my first time back on this river since Sep.of 2008. This bridge is Greens Ford.... This next one is just arround the bend at Griswald Ford.. This bridge is on County Road 96 at Mule Shoe Conservation Area, just high enough to slip under. This last one is at Bannister Ford... http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
KCRIVERRAT Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I love that river! Did you happen to visit the good folks at Cedar Camp? HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
woodman Posted July 25, 2010 Author Posted July 25, 2010 I stopped in and gave them pics. I had taken on the river Sept.20-22- 2008 nearly 2 yrs ago. I told them my dad had died in July of 2008, 2 months before John. I talked to her about how the bridge change seemed to have lowered the water level or something. Their is a ripple that can be seen upstream from the bridge that wasn't their before. That is the one bridge I didn't get a pic. of. A couple of the bridges are to low to get a canoe under (which seems silly to me) looks like they would get lodged with trees. I wonder if they changed that private (slab) bridge just below Fiery Fork. That used to have a nice deep hole, caught many a fish out of their. I would put in at Green Mills and motor up stream to that point (nearly drained the battery getting their though.) http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
KCRIVERRAT Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Yep... John is dearly missed bud. Hey... maybe we can hook up down there sometime. Seems we're the only two on this forum that talk about the L. Niangua. I've got my own ride and I always stay in cabin #5. Karen is great... along with Tammy. HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
woodman Posted July 26, 2010 Author Posted July 26, 2010 Hay KCRIVERRAT that sounds cool I downsized my ride to save gas. Believe it or not this 3 cylinder toes my rig. We have a friend who has a teenage boy I want to introduce to this river sometime in Aug. MOstreamer 1 http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
woodman Posted July 26, 2010 Author Posted July 26, 2010 Here is Griswald Ford back in 08... Notice the leaning tree in the pic. is still their. MOstreamer 1 http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
KCRIVERRAT Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I'll PM you mid-august. My dad's coming to visit for ten days in August. It'd be towards the end of August or after Labor Day. Nice rig buddy! HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
Members kayaker Posted July 28, 2010 Members Posted July 28, 2010 My brother and I are floating and staying at Cedar camp this Friday and Saturday. I hope the river isn't miserably low right now. I caught a bunch of fish earlier this summer and promised to get my brother on some.
