Had a great time Sunday morning. Big thanks to all you guys. I finally made it to the Greenfield access to fish this time. Really was not sure which direction to head. Two boats launched when I did. They headed in the same direction away from the bridge. That looked like the way to go so I did. Stopped about 1/2 mile down on the right where a creek came into the lake. Caught 7 LM'S from 1 to 3 pounds on a silver torpedo. Trolled for Walleye for 4 hours. I just cant seem to get this Walleye thing down right. I lost a lot of tackle on submerged trees :=X: . I did find where the crappie were. OH THEY WERE THERE BY THE THOUSANDS. I used the same BLACK/CHARTREUSE Jigs that BOB BENNETT Used on the other end of the lake and the crappie I was fishing for must have been from a different FAMILY  They would not hit those or any other colors makes or models.

There were two men in a boat near me catching them left and right. I could not stand it anymore. I had to ask. And sure enough....I'm glad it wasn't me...they were hitting BLUE with Chartreuse. Figures, the only color I did not have :( I thought it was time for me to retire from fishing. I also helped a man and his son...towed them back to shore, their motor would not start. They offered me money. I did not take it. So they showed me their secret crappie holes. I ended up fishing under the Bridge at CC just before I left and caught 7 MORE LM'S on 1 OZ. White Rooster Tails. Thanks God and thanks OAF members. I would have given up if it were not for y'all. I ended up having a great time. I guess I will leave the Walleye to you guys. It's back to the drawing board for me.

Predator,

You're not the only one who can't find the walleye. I've fished that lake my whole life, and have only caught one walleye, a small one this year. I haven't been able to catch any crappie either this year. Always went to CC under the bridge in the past and caught hundreds of shorts, but haven't been to that part yet this year. I'm thinking about going Friday night back to that are to see if I can either find some crappie or whites. And from the way it sounds, might even find some largemouths in there. Thanks for the report.

There was one gentleman under the bridge catching crappie. I guess he had good luck earlier in the morning. I think the crappie bite had slowed down for him though. I wish I would have been fishing for them earlier at sunrise. That always seems to be the magic few hours. Good Luck.

ive also had trouble cathing walleye the last few years i think it was a mistake to lower the length limit to 15" before they did that i used to catch lots of walleye 15 to 23" some people say they still catch them but not me every once in a while ill catch a 10" or so. so i mainly just bass fish anymore.

Eyeman is right. I fish CC area a lot and after about June 1st the walleye become scarce. When I fish the mid-lake areas though I usually pick up a few during the summer while crappie fishing.

Thinking about coming up Friday night to try some crappie fishing. About the only place I have had much luck catching them is around CC. Although most of them are short. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I could try out? The boat I will probably be in only has a 5 gallon tank, so unfortunately I won't be able to go too terribly far from any of the ramps.

Head south away from the bridge for about 2 miles it seemed to me. When you find the area with all the Trees sticking up out of the middle of the lake you will know you are there. This is where I saw the guys catching keeper crappie on the blue/chartreuse jigs. This area is 25-30ft deep. You will see hundreds of fish on the radar. They were at depths of 8-15ft Sunday.
