Members mohogtrapper Posted August 3, 2010 Members Posted August 3, 2010 Wife had surgery 2 weeks ago and will not be able to camp over the holiday. I was hoping there was somewhere I could find to stay on the lake over the holiday weekend. Prefer a house/cabin. Thanks
BrianS Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 You shouldnt have any problem finding that on the Rock they are everywhere. Just figure out what end of the pond you want to fish HOOK 'EM HORNS
rps Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Lots of houses and condos at Holiday Island for rent. Contact Don Eiler 479 253 7255. He and his wife have an inventory. Also try Island Rentals 888 443 7741. You and the wife can do interesting crafts, arts, or saloon things in Eureka when you are not on the water. PM me for food locations.
Members timr0123 Posted August 3, 2010 Members Posted August 3, 2010 We stayed at Big Creek Resort in the Shell Knob area in June. Nice place on the water with a nice dock also. http://www.bigcreekresort.com/accomodations.html
Champ188 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I've heard good things about Big Creek Resort but the fishing in that part of the lake is terrible. If you do happen to catch a bass, it's one of those "girly man river fish." To borrow a line from our buddy Techo, "Nothing to see here. Move along, please."
