He is a piece of crap... To do that to the fish and to cheat. Seriously, its hard enough to trust everyone when fishing a tournament and people like this shouldn't be able to own a fishing license. There are days i fish for 12 hrs and catch only 2-3 bass.. Not worth 5 lbs and i still go out and try my best to learn. So when tournament time comes i hope to do well. The ones who resort to cheating should not only be banned but fined, or how about 30 days in jail.. Seriously what would happen if you cheated or counted cards at a casino?

There are always a few bad seeds. Eventually cheaters always get caught. I am glad this guy was banned for LIFE....makes the other bad seeds think twice.

I wouldnt doubt it. I've heard stories of tournament guys paying locals to catch big bass and put them in cages and then giving them the coordinates to go get the fishes. I met a guy once who said he once caught a big hybrid and a few guys were asking if they could take it to go take a picture of it, they instead entered into the "Big Hybrid" contest and won.

Besides being 14 kinds of unmentionable names and a rotten skunk, he obviously has no true love for the sport or the fish. Most classy anglers I know truly care about the fish. This makes me sick. Unfortunately, cheating happens in every sport and usually is only carried about by the low-life minority. I'm glad they caught him. I'm realistic enough to know it happens, honorable enough to hate it, but it isn't going to sour me from tournament fishing. There's rude, bad drivers, but I'm still getting behind the wheel every morning. There's people and things I don't like at work, but that's not keeping me away. The path to choking a weed out is to grow so much good stuff there's no room or tolerance for the bad seed. He's lucky he didn't get a beat down behind the weigh-in trailer.
