Members gman61 Posted August 6, 2010 Members Posted August 6, 2010 Without going into much detail, kids and wife are wanting to catch fish next week, or melt trying! Best bet for a novice with a fishing barge would be nightcrawlers on dropshot at the thermocline, right? Might catch a mixed bag as well. Stay across from Mill Creek so I assume that will be best place to start. And, should I set their alarm clocks for 4:30 am and not tell them night before?

Based on what the neighbors are telling me, find a dock over deep water and fish as close to it as possible in shaded water. Try tossing a cricket or nighcrawler piece under the shade of the roof, the further under the roof (like in an unoccupied slip) you can get your bait the better for gills. Early morning is always a plus.
