The GF wanted to go fishing from the River Pro today some we went early to the Eureka Allenton ramp on the Meramec River. The vis was only a few inches deep must have happened from the rains a few days ago. The river was plenty shallow and tricky because the water being as stained as it is hides a lot of shallow shoals. A lot of gravel was showing otherwise.

Fishing? I got skunked! I had one Bass of fair size messing around with the Fluke I was throwing, and had 1 other take me into wood and wrap my line before I could get him through the logs. Otherwise, zip! Donna caught a few of her “Sunnies” on her Beetle Spins.

We did see an Eagle going upstream, awesome!

Otherwise was a fun time, and cooler out running the River Pro. We only saw 2 other jet boats just before we went back to the ramp and 1 canoe up toward the Pacific Palisades ramp. When we saw the canoe, we turned back so we wouldn’t bother them.

I should have gone back wading at the prievious weeks "honey hole" but management wanted to take a boat ride. ;)

Big River was not good to me today, either. It was also up a bit and quite off-color in parts. Didn't get skunked, but nothing over 14".

That is such a sweet boat Bman.

Sounds good to me Gator!

I would love to make a run to the cable at Taney with 0 units, but because of the folks wading I don't think thats gonna happen.

You got it! It would be fun, especially on a hot day. That Gator has trim on that jet! He can throw a roost outa this world!

We could take Gator up our way around, and through the trees on the semi submerged islands in the trophy area above Look Out Point. ;)

I liked the ride I took over Busters log at Short Creek a couple years ago. I got some air under the Gator when I hit it!!! I think the guys I had with me had to change their shorts when we got back to Lilley's. LOL

The look on their faces when I just kept the pedal down on the hotfoot was priceless!

Bman, ever run behind that big island on the north side below the boat ramp to just above lookout? Anything challenging back there? I would guess there is no water back there with no units running. Like you, I don't go up there with 0 or low flow to avoid disturbing the waders.
