Members BigD1030 Posted August 30, 2010 Members Posted August 30, 2010 I am headed down to the white for a week and I own a drift boat. I was wondering what are some popular access points to use. I would like to do a few half day floats and a few full day floats. I would also like to put in up at the dam one day. I am unfamilar with floating the river and was curious what you guys would suggest. I have wade fished the white quite a few times. Does anyone have any suggestions on shuttle services as well?
John Berry Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Wildcat Shoals to Cotter or Cotter to Rim Shoals are both nice floats. Check with Gary at Rim Shoals Trout Dock for a shuttle. gotmuddy Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I have noticed quite a few drift boats do the rim shoals to buffalo city float. You could probably stretch it out to a all day float if you wanted. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Members Jeff Hearn Posted September 2, 2010 Members Posted September 2, 2010 Rim to B'city is a long float on low water and wind blowing up river............Rim to Ranchette or Ranchette to B'City might be better...............Those have long shuttles though..........B'City to Shipps also a possibility......Water temps below Rim could be an issue and water color below Crooked Creek and Buffalo River couuld also be issues after today........When exactly are you coming?
