We Picked this stretch because I thought it would be too low for livery boats. I was partialy right as we only saw 4 rentals but Probably 20 privates not including my 7 vessels, still not too bad for a holiday Sat. There was one large group of over nighters with many solo canoes. The bump in water levels must have contributed to the large number of boats, we normally have this float to ourselves this time of year.

It was a Chamber of Commerce day with low 80s a little breeze and not a cloud in the sky! Fishing was tough with the traffic, but we managed to have a pretty good day. We didnt fish past Parker Though. The water was up a little so we didnt have to get out once. My bride and canoe partner of 35 yrs is just getting the fishing bug and usually catches a few but was skunked this trip. I got caught the biggest fish this time.

This is how my wife described the day. "Even though we have been down this stretch of the Current River many times, it unwrapped itself anew for us on this day."

Looks like a good trip in spite of the crowd....Pretty nice bow for that part of the river, thanks for the report.
