Members TheBassAssasin Posted September 10, 2010 Members Posted September 10, 2010 Some buddies and I are planning on taking a camping trip within the next few weeks somewhere in northern Arkansas. We're wanting to get a good roadtrip in before it gets too cold. Looking for locations to camp within an hours drive of the Missouri Arkansas border. We'd be driving down from Springfield, MO so we'd need somewhere within an hour or two of the MO/AR border. We just want a good place for a good Ozark's adventure. Preferably near good bank or wade fishing, Mountain Biking, Hiking, or Rock Climbing locations. Any suggestions? We'd even be open for suggestions around southern Missouri, we just wanna get outside. Members TheBassAssasin Posted September 10, 2010 Author Members Posted September 10, 2010 Greer spring campground on the eleven point river. 1oth largest spring in the world--incredible trout fishing, good smallmouth fishing. Look up Brian Sloss at eleven point canoe rental and do a float, upstream of the spring for smallies , downstream for trout. Make sure you take the hike down to the spring, it is worth it. Oh yeah, let those smallies go once you catch them! Sounds like a great time! I'll definetely propose the idea to the guys, although they aren't all as into fishing as I am. Is a lot of good scenery along the way? And don't worry I always catch and release! Anyone else got any other places for me to check out?
