flytyer57 Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Rain-X is just a liquid wax. you can use a everyday car wax to achieve the same results. Hmmmm... Turtle wax on the windshield... Me thinks I'll stick to the Rain-X. Specially formulated polymers help keep the windshield clear. The Rain-X I have you mix with water and pour into the windsheild solvent tank in the car. Wonder how it mixes if it's just wax... There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
Geoff Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 You've never used Tyrtle wax on a windshield? Try it. it'll buff out plenty clear and will act just the same as Rain-X. "When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all."

I'll stick to the Rain-X. And Turtle Wax on a plastic paddle will probably turn it white like when you get wax on your plastic trim on the car. Unless you spring for that new turtle Wax Ice which is 2-3x as much as regular wax. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
woodman Posted September 26, 2010 Author Posted September 26, 2010 Well the rain-x dosen't last but maby 15 minutes. I will try wax... http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
