Members jfeola Posted September 23, 2010 Members Posted September 23, 2010 Hey all, New to the forum and new to fishing. Just can't get enough of this sport. My Dad is in town and I wanted to take him on a fishing float trip. I was thinking around Hooten Town as I've read a lot of posts about the area. What do you think is best, though? Is the fishing for smallies better above or below Hooten Town Access? If below, where do you pull out?
Flysmallie Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 I prefer Kerr Access to Galena. They are well below Hooten. James River Outfitters in Galena will take good care of you. But Shelvin Rock to Hooten is a good float as well.
Terry Beeson Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Hey Ronnie... you and me and Ted need to do that float soon. My pontoon is ready and waitin!! I'll save Kerr to Galena for myself one day. Thank you.

That would be great but my free time is pretty much non existence right now. Let me know when you want to go and I will see if I can make it work.
