Members timr0123 Posted October 4, 2010 Members Posted October 4, 2010 Bill, The @#!%&^*#!!! CALLS. That's the major downfall of having the "Dream Job". I sincerly fill for you. Some people just don't think before acting. Gary, My only addition to Bill's list would be my longtime Table Rock standby, Gene Larew Giant Salt Craw in Plum. I've been using these since the late 80's.
Champ188 Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Bill, couldn't agree more on the Yum double-tail grub trailers over Yamamoto. The legs don't stick together either. Also, if any of you guys use double tails on the back of finesse (Eakins style) jigs, you might also consider Zoom's Creepy Crawler double tail. It has a slimmer profile than other double tails and does a great job on that smaller jig.
MstStudent10 Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Here's my 2 cents worth on colors for worms... Break it up into 4 situations: 1) Sunny & Clear Water: Watermelon Candy, or Watermelon Purple Flake, or Watermelon with some sort of FLAKE... 2) Cloudy & Clear Water: Green Pumpkin...Done. 3) Sunny & Dirty Water: DARK colored with FLAKE in it, like June Bug, or Green Pumpkin FLAKE. 4) Cloudy & Dirty Water: Black and Blue...Done. This is pretty much my rule and works out most of the time (Doesn't count with DropShot). ps... Green Pumpkin can also be substituted into whatever situation you want at random times. Best color overall out there IMO. Set the hook first, ask questions later...
