Members Oldschoolcane Posted October 1, 2010 Members Posted October 1, 2010 I am considering another weekend of fishing the NFOW, with last years trip we were completely rained out - the NF was at flood stage and dangerous to be around. For this years trip with my son, is October 22-24 to late for good flyfishing? I know it depends upon the weather but when does fishing change due to the cooler weather? Any ideas about this trip, I guess if later October isn't good I suppose we could go to the White river instead? Thanks, Tim
Gavin Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Fall & Winter is a great time to fish the NfoW...The summer time snot moss is usually gone by then and so is most of the weekend river traffic. I'm planning a trip on the 27th-30th, FWIW. Cheers.
Coldspring Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Think I will do my NFOW fishing during firearms deer season, around cabins of course.
