I found a "FREE PUBLIC Wi-Fi" on the connection list that has a very strong signal, but I can not connect to it.. Anyone have any information of this origin & how can I use this "Free Public WiFi".. Thanks for the assist... * Yesterday early evening, I got one 14" Spot on a Texas rigged smokey shad fluke 25 feet deep. Spinnaker Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Interesting question. I have not yet brought my computer down on fishing trips to the lake because I focus on fishing the majority of the day and eat and sleep when I am not fishing. But once in a while I wish I could check e-mails. For me a week without the internet is perfectly OK as I am retired and can live without it. For others, its quite important especially those who are still working and for other reasons as well. I will have to check the Panera in Branson next time to see if they have free net service there. BTW, I float a 16.5 red lund with a fifty Yama on the pond when I come down. Might see you sometime.

Nitroman Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Spinnaker: You retired lawyers just don't pay attention to the details. No need to waste your gas & time to drive into town for free WIFI. We hooked it up ( FREE WIFI ) back in the spring of 2008, it's available in all of our units for all our guests ( that includes you also ) to use. So when you pack up for your next visit bring along that lap-top. " GLAD IT WASN'T A SNAKE " !!!!!!! Rock View Resort Table Rock Lake Greg Pope, Owner/Operator & Fishing Guide
Spinnaker Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Hey Greg! I admit I am so focused on the fishing I miss some of the details now and then. I'll be talking to you in a week or so about another trip down.

Sam Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Electronics, laptops, WiFi, and all that are fine - just don't get to playing loud music on the lake near where I'm fishing, please. That became a pet peeve of mine fishing lakes in SoCal, where there's a boat every 100 feet, the boom-boxes are so loud they put ripples on the water, and the song is usually "La Bamba". Grrrrrr.
