Murdoc
I've seen so many tippet make-ups. I was wondering what other fisherman do with their lines? I tie a 14lb pcs of line to my fly line and attach a 4 or 5 foot pcs of tippet to that. Is this alright or not. tippet7
I dont wear makeup! Are you saying that you use a 14lb strand of mono as a leader? Am I reading that right? You are so stupid you threw a rock at the ground and missed.
Brian Wise
I tie a 14lb pcs of line to my fly line and attach a 4 or 5 foot pcs of tippet to that. Is this alright or not. I have heard crazier set-ups than that. If it works for you use it! Generally I use a 9' 4x leader and drop 2-4' of 5-6x tippet off of it. Members SeldomSeen
Murdoc, I do about 95% of my fishing under the cover of darkness, so I just use a 9-foot long 6# strand of mono. It's cheaper than the leader/tippet materials, and I've received no complaints thus far. I wouldn't recommend this for day fishing, though.
