Danoinark Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Ended up fishing at Taney today. Caught a few trout early and it slowed to a crawl by noon. Lots of other fishermen/ladies there today also. I always tell myself don't go on weekends.... It almost looked like opening day at trout parks. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"

Dano Well at least you got out Dano, I hear you though....I used to live off of Fall Creek Road and fished Taney at least 3x a week...I stopped going on weekends all together unless it was cold out. I remember actually going to Taney on fathers day about 7 years ago...got into the parking lot...looked at the water and turned around and went home. There is no limit to what a man can do or how far he can go if he doesn't mind who gets the credit
Zack Hoyt Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Beaver fished well yesterday Dano. Not a ton of people and beautiful weather. Glad you got out either way. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions

I wait until Mondays to return. The only good line is a tight line
OKFlyFisher44 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 I agree with BMan, mondays rule. The schedule I had with my previous job was Tues-Sat, got off work @ 3 on Sat. Worked perfect for driving down to Branson that evening Usually did have to fight the crowd sunday during the day but it wasn't too bad. What was really awesome....sunday night fishing, I'd have the whole trophy section to myself most times. It was almost creepy down there by yourself but man the fishing was awesome. Monday mornings were also splendid...always a few people but you could basically fish where you wanted to. Trips like that are why I still love Taney...although I haven't got to fish it at all this year Chance ...I'm haunted in my dreams of waters I have yet to fish and trout I have yet to catch... Chasing the Dream...
