A buddy talked me into taking Wednesday off and go to Lake Mozingo near Maryville, MO to do some fishing. The lady at the bait shop said she hadn't heard of any walleye caught in several months. We pulled harnesses in varying depths of water and I caught this nice 22 1/2" after losing a smaller one earlier. We fished crappie in the afternoon and stunk up the place, only two keeps. Also caught a 20" bass. The walleye is my biggest Missouri walleye this year.

Very nice fish Mike! I love that lake. We've gotten into walleyes up there, but haven't caught one that big. We lost out on a cabin for next spring. Waited too long. Had a great cabin last May. Eight of us stayed. Have to do a day trip or stay in Maryville. Crappie fishing in spring can be spectacular. Glad you caught a beauty!

Yea, Mozingo is a nice little lake, I've been wanting to get down there all year, and it just never worked out before yesterday. Just wish we'd have had better luck catching crappie. Saw guys catching them, we just couldn't...I feel like such a failure!
