Buzz Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 buzz, you know that one didn't count cause Chief and I didn't validate it! lol I truely had a great time. I concur Ollie, I cry foul too. I think that was a pic of one I caught in Hickory a few week ago. Funny guys. Oh well, Olliefest is coming up we'll see what happens then. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Murdoc Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I too was a little dissapointed in the size of the fish, but after last year seeing the way the lunkers were treated I don't blame the park for not turning them loose. I saw more big dead fish on the bottom than I've ever seen and at the end of the season there weren't many left. It was still fun to fish!! The catching was good also. Members jasperflyfisher Posted November 16, 2010 Members Posted November 16, 2010 It was great to meet everyone Friday. The hot dogs were great!!! The fish were small, but easy enough to catch. We did get into some bigger ones Saturday. Nothing to brag about, but definately better than Friday.
Bill Anderson Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Dano...sure was good to see you again and get a chance to fling a fly with you. I caught a few, nothing over about 14 inches (my first was the largest), and really enjoyed the eats. I could not believe the swarms of midges we had after the rain! Dan, we need to get over to Taney soon. Terry...I'm enjoying the book I got from you. It was a great opening day! Hope to see you guys again soon. Bill Anderson I have a friend, a Jewish carpenter, whom you should get to know. If you do, your life will never be the same.
