Table Rock Bassmasters: Start Of New Season

December is upon us and the fishing is heating up. This has to be one of my favorite times of year when the fish move shallow. I went out with my seven year old Wed and had a decent day, with 5 keepers total. 10 on a spinnerbait shallow (mostly small), 4 on a jig, 1 on a crank, 1 on a topwater. Water temp was 57-58 on the main lake. Not alot of fish showing on the graph 10ft or less but with the weather turning cold, water temps will drop and numbers will increase in the shallows.

The Table Rock Bassmasters will have their monthly club meeting this Tuesday evening, Nov 30th, at 7 pm at the Kimbling Inn meeting room in Kimberling City. This meeting will be the last one of the 2010 season and all are welcome. If you are wanting to join a club to learn more about fishing Table Rock lake or are looking for FRIENDLY competition, or just want to make new friends this is a great group of guys. There are guys that have been members of this club since the early 70's that have such a vast knowledge of the lake. I teach school, coach and tourny fish a little and I look forward to club meetings and club tournies more than most everything else I'm involved with.

We fish at least once every month, mostly on Table Rock. There are no entry fees for tournaments since we fish for points. We are a BASS Federation club and about half the members fish to make the team in Sept. 4 members made the 12 man Missouri State Fed team in 2009 and we had 1 member make the 12 man team this year. There are a total of 34 members in this club with ages ranging in the early 70's to late 20's. January is the start of the 2011 season so it's a great time to come on board if you've been looking for an organization like this.
