Members Browns Guide Service Posted July 4, 2006 Members Posted July 4, 2006 Over a the past week since Thursday my dad has been at bull shoals fishing for walleye. He has done pretty good. Final tally for the weekend. 5 fish over 25"s the biggest 28, three more over 23 and 8 from 18 to 22. Too many shorts to count and about 25 nice crappies thrown in for good measure. Here are some pics from Sunday. Browns Guide Service Lee Brown 417-886-2046 www.brownsguideservice.com

Samkam1 Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 What area is he concentrating on to catch the walleye? Any idea what they were biting on?
Members Colorado hillbilly Posted July 7, 2006 Members Posted July 7, 2006 Fished upper end of Bull Shoals with my son on July 5. Middle of the day, bright sun, only fished for about 4 hours so expected little success. But, we caught a total of 9 walleye - only 3 keepers between us. Slow trolled (just fast enough to hit bottom every now and then) HotnTots (1.0 to 1.5mph, flat-lined) rigged with crawlers. Caught the fish between Barker's Hole and Johnson's hole. Started at 10:30am - pulled out of Beaver Creek boat ramp at about 2:00pm. Go figure. Nicest legal fish was 23 1/2 inches. The non-legals were 17 to 17 1/2. It would be helpful - especially for us out-of-towners - if people would be a little more specific about where, when, what and how they had success or not on Bull Shoals.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 7, 2006 Root Admin Posted July 7, 2006 Bull Shoals has always been a hard lake to get information on. Not many guides fish the upper part. Mr Brown has posted a few times here and you're right, more information would be helpful. I've always stated that if guides prove their savy, not just with pics but being helpful and thorough, they will get trips from posting on any forum.
