dennis boatman Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Stayed at Point Royale this weekend, threw in the fly rod just in case I had a few minutes. Not at all familiar with the area but had always heard of it. I guess they weren't running any water, it seemed more lake like. Fished for about an hour and caught 3 beautiful trout. One was nearing 15" others 12ish. Plenty of fight and lots of color. It was cold and not many fisherman. Looking forward to returning. All the trout were bigger and fatter than any I catch on the Niangua. However, I do love fishing the Niangua. A strike indicator is just a bobber...
