Tim Smith Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 {brittish accent}Yes, yes.. But they're non-migratory...{brittish accent} (Editing courtesy of Monty Python) So what is the wind speed velocity of an unladen African lion?
eric1978 Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 There was even a full grown male gorilla roaming the woods for awhile (he eventually "came home" on his own). Is that the one they stuffed and put out in front of that motel in Gravois? No wonder you're afraid of monkeys.
FishinCricket Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 So what is the wind speed velocity of an unladen African lion? It is fifty times that of a laden African lion (which can be measured most effectively in feet/hour, once they are laden they get lazy) For a more specific answer, I shall require a shrubbery! cricket.c21.com

A nice one. But not too big. And then you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest with...a herring. And if you don't appease him, he will say "ni" at you some more, or he'll fart in your general direction. We could do a 20 page thread with this movie.
Al Agnew Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 About that lack of dirt in Ozark County...this story adapted from Vance Randolph... A stranger to Ozark County got lost while driving in the backcountry, and stopped at an intersection of two gravel roads to ask directions from a local on a wheezing old tractor. The two struck up a conversation about various subjects, and while they were talking a cat suddenly ran past them heading west. A few seconds later, another cat ran past heading west. A minute or so later still another cat zipped past heading west. After the fifth cat whizzing by heading west, the stranger just had to ask the local. "Why are all these cats running by us all going in the same direction?" The local said, "Aw, jist so happens that the only patch of dirt in Ozark County is about three miles thataway." So if you want to know whether there are mountain lions in Ozark County, just find that patch of dirt.
