HighPlainsFlyFisher Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I found a flyrod and reel while fishing Taneycomo Trophy area last week. I found it on Wednesday afternoon laying on the road between the boat ramp and the outlet 3 parking area. Would like to return it to it's owner if I can find them. Thought this might be a good place to get the word out. Thanks.....Jeff
Terry Beeson Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Dang... I KNEW I left it somewhere... Just kidding... But I do hope the owner is on here and the rig finds its way home... Don Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 I left a vest down there once and a good samaratin found it and took it to the hatchery office. It might be a good hub for lost and found. Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 6, 2011 Root Admin Posted January 6, 2011 You could call them and let them know you found it... 417-334-4865 Thanks for posting.

FishinCricket Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Maybe it floated down from Tan Vat? :big_silly_wink: I hope you find the owner.. If not, I hope you get good use out of it... You deserve the reward. I left a vest down there once and a good samaratin found it and took it to the hatchery office. It might be a good hub for lost and found. Don, I literally laughed out loud when I read your signature... Classic, man.. Classic.. cricket.c21.com
HighPlainsFlyFisher Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 I'll call the hatchery office today and see if they've had any reports of lost equipment and give them my contact info. If I can't find the owner I'd like to donate it to a group like Healing Waters or an equally good cause. I enjoy fishing with rods that I've built so there's not much need to keep it sitting around , let someone else get some good use out of it. If I don't get any response in the next week I'll probably be looking for a home for the setup if anyone onboard runs or is a part of an organization that could use it. Thanks again for the good advice.....Jeff http://highplainsflyfisher.blogspot.com/
Trout Commander Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Awesome plan Jeff, kudos for that! I've enjoyed the first few pages of your blog too. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack
Nighthawk Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Jeff the Project Healing Waters program head in S"field is a good friend of mine and I am involved as well. let me know if you need to contact us. Russ
HighPlainsFlyFisher Posted January 8, 2011 Author Posted January 8, 2011 Thanks Russ. I think I'll probably give it another week and see if anyone comes forward , if not I can get a shipping address from you and get the rod on the way to do some good for some great folks. I have a friend in the MTA that's participated in at least one of your functions I believe , heard nothing but great things about the people and all the good things done by folks like yourself. I'll be in touch if I still have the rod in another week.....Thanks , Jeff http://highplainsflyfisher.blogspot.com/
