This is unrelated but does anyone know what the Stockton Lake Record is for Black Bass? Not Smallmouth.

JUNE. Seemed pretty obvious to me. There are too many other tourney championships already in October, as well as the LOZ Big Bass Bash already in October, plus with deer season open, I'm not sure you would get the turn out you are looking for in October. June, the bass are pretty much done spawning, and we haven't gotten into the crazy summer heat yet.

You have this type of tournament on this lake you will have your schedule full....I'm meaning there is no way you wouldn't have over 100 boats per day. Also you think you will catch a 10 lber on Truman, TR,Pomm or Lake Ozarks before you catch a 10 lber on Stockton? Not a chance. There are MANY over 10 in Stockton along with 7 lb small mouth. You do this tournament and you will have everyone come out of the wood work to fish and unlike Lake of the Ozark's a small 7 lb fish will not be the big fish. You do this in April after the spawn or in Oct and big bass will be 8 lb every hour and maybe a few over 10 lb....it is about time someone wanted to bring attention to Stockton lake in Missouri. I'm in and I don't give a dam when you have it. But April and Oct or Nov will be best for big hogs and I agree to not do it in march or early April to disrupt the big girls from dropping her eggs.

I also wanna add that ALMOST every fish is DONE and OFF the beds in late APRIL....Everyone of you who bed fish should be ashamed to take the big girls off there beds. I can catch a 9 plus pounder EVERY dam day if I wanted to. You just have to know where they are at and I WILL NOT TAKE a big girl OFF her bed for $5,000. That is not right and someday we will STOP tournament fishing in April and I am for it. Late April is fine on Stockton cause 90 % of big girls are off the bed by then anyway

i AGREE WITH THE TOURNAMENTS IN OCT. EVERYONE HAS THEIR CHAMPIONSHIPS AND WE DON'T WANT TO OR CAN'T COMPETE WITH THAT.

The best bass fisherman on Stockton lake is BY FAR Gary "Hickory Nut" Wilkerson and there is no one who can argue that fact. Maybe you should see the pictures of 8-10 lb fish he catches on an daily basis. You don't see fish spawn in March? Are you serious? 90% of the whole lake is done my April 20th EVERY YEAR.... I don't think you will have very many if any 9 lb plus fish brought to the scale in March. Late April You may and in Nov you may but before April or from May thru Oct you won't catch a hog that size I don't feel.

Don't hate me for posting my feelings man. It has taken me 20 years to find just 2 coves that have big spawners in it like this. Like I said before I wouldn't fish for them on the bed and I will do what I can to make as much noise as possible to stop you big pro's from fishing in there in the 1st 2 weeks of April. Sorry just being honest. These big girls need to drop there eggs and go on with there life till the next year. I have seen the same fish for 3 str8 years cause I caught her 3 years ago off a bed to see how big she really was and Hutton and I tagged her and the tag is still behind her fin. I do hope to fish your tournament for big bass though and wish you the best of luck on your other tournaments as well.

I don't know if this pic showed up but here is a pic of a 9.9 caught Sunday on Stockton. This is why this guy is the best on Stockton lake period. If the pic does not show up and you live in or are coming to spfd go to fin and feather and ask John about the pic caught by Gary Wilkerson yesterday. 8-10 lb fish almost on an everyday occurrence for this guy. Everyone should feel lucky he doesn't tournament fish. Every pic has a date and time of the pic that he takes. Gary you sir are indeed the King. Ernie send me more pics man
