Members jim laing Posted January 6, 2011 Members Posted January 6, 2011 '96 Hyde aluminum high side in very good condition. Front storage, rowers storage box, high back rowers seat, side mounted anchor, 30 lb pyramid lead anchor, pedestal seats & knee braces. Carlyle balanced oars (recently wrapped and refinished). All fasteners have been replaced with stainless. Cover included. Trailer is in very good condition, bearings replaced before last trip. This boat is in very good condition and always stored under cover - AND smells like fish! Boat and trailer title in hand. Front platform is cracked at pedestal. I have used an aluminum plate to bridge small crack. Price $3,500 firm.
wily Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 what do you mean -- front platform is cracked?? is it structual?? how long is the boat?? looks like a good deal...where is it??
Members jim laing Posted January 7, 2011 Author Members Posted January 7, 2011 There are three fiberglass platforms (or decks) that are mounted to the aluminum boat floor - front, middle & rear. The front platform has a small crack right at the base of the seat pedestal. I put an aluminum plate under the pedestal base to bridge the crack. This boat is 16' long and is located in Southern Illinois right outside of St. Louis.
Members jim laing Posted January 7, 2011 Author Members Posted January 7, 2011 Here's a look at the front platform. Overall this drift boat is in really good condition and has been well cared for. Always stored indoors.
Justin Spencer Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I've seen the boat, it is in great condition just like it looks in the picture. sean c Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Jim, I think we chatted briefly on the NFOW this October I was the guy in the grey Clackacraft skiff with all of the rug rats running around catching crawdads below the falls. The boat looked to be in great condition and that is a great price. Good luck with the sale.
Members jim laing Posted January 7, 2011 Author Members Posted January 7, 2011 Hi Sean, Nice to meet you on the NFOW - You piloted the falls with pin-point accuracy on low water AND with a load of family in your Clack. Very impressive!
