mic Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Does anyone have a good way to weight a san juan worm when tying it?
Guest Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Lead or non-lead wire/solder works well. I also tie them up with a bead in the middle or at the hook eye.
Danoinark Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Same here tie them with a tungsten bead in the middle and sometimes dub over the bead to hide the flash. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Idylwilde Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 I tie this version of the San Juan Worm and call it a Trout Candy Worm. #14 hook,Tungsten bead, Non lead wire, covered with Flash Back tinsel, Chenille,Copper wire, Ostrich hurl. And a shorty beaded one. Both good fish catching options. Take a Child Fishing they are the future of the sport.
