Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 9, 2006 Root Admin Posted July 9, 2006 What places do you fish besides Capps?
Members hawgslayer Posted July 9, 2006 Author Members Posted July 9, 2006 Roaring river, crane, and capps mostly since there the closest. but I do fish quite a few privatly owned trout streams. I cant really give names since I cant remember them, but there is a good one about 5 to 10 miles west of purdy. It doesnt got a good trout population(But its a an awsome creek to fish just dont go there expecting to see a classic trout stream)but if you do catch a trout theres a good chance it will top 5#. Its also got a lot of large and smallmouth bass. If you can find one the owner of the a place he/she should let you fish there as long as you dont litter and stuff. But make sure you get permission because most of the owners get really mad when you trespass. Most of these streams arent stocked with trout year round, there lucky to be stocked once every two years. So be careful when fishing not to spook the fish since they are skittish. If fishins a sport, then I'm an athlete.
