Can I Ask A Favor?

Hey,

I'm hoping I can ask a favor without running afoul of any forum rules - written or unwritten. If I did mess up, please just give me a virtual hand-slap and I'll know better next time (I've only posted a few times, so it's not like I have any "community street-cred" yet to fall back on).

Anyway, I'm one of the 5 finalists for a flyfishing podcast contest and I could win an Orvis Access fly rod! If you go to the OrvisNews website and go to the fly fishing section and scroll down a bit there's a poll to vote on a podcast question/topic. I asked them to cover fly fishing reality verses what we see in tv shows/magazines/ads, etc. Last I checked I was in 2nd place, but just barely so. Voting ends Thursday the 20th at 2:00 pm central!

(In other LIR related news, I did take myself and two of my boys to the LIR last Fri/Sat and we only caught one fish between us. Apparently, we're not that great at the flyfishing bit yet)

Thanks!! I was a few points down but then a lady at work forwarded it all over the place and then they discovered that the one vote limit we saw yesterday was raised to something closer to 20 and a bunch of people went nuts on it. I'm hoping it holds up (25 hours to go)!

They closed the poll since the change from one-vote-per-machine was changed to a free-for-all by accident. I still had the most votes and the most unique voters when it closed, so thanks to all that helped out! They also are going to make good for all 5 finalists due to the poll problems. I've never had anything but stand-up service and results from Orvis, and this is another example of the company doing things right when they could have tried to take the cheap way out. Your mileage may vary with them, but I'm a fan!
