Rapala Clackin Family

has anyone used rapala's clackin family. (rap, crank, and minnow) if so, are they worth the buy? i thought they might all make good search baits.

i picked up a few of each this winter to try next season. I dont see why they wouldn't work, great quality baits from a company that has never failed to impress me.

I've personally never owned a Rapala lure that I didn't catch fish on

at the very least, they have the loudest rattle i think that i've heard

Dunno...$12-15 a pop...Think I'd have to decide between a new unproven Clackin bait, two proven low end baits, or one proven high end bait for a few dollars more. Good luck and let us know how they do. Cheers.

I totally agree with you here. the cost of lures has gone through the roof. some of those swimbaits are $20+, it better cull the small fish off its self at that price. which is why I only shop the sale items/sales and use my rewards cards to get free stuff. i'll probably cry first time i lose one of my sebile swimbaits.

I use and a red clackin rap on my home lake here in kansas. Bought one last year early and did some prespawn largemouthin with it. The first day I went out I smoked my buddy 13 fish to 1 which obviously sold me. Also used it in a strip pit I fish for largemouth in with another buddy of mine. We both used the clackin rap and did real well.
